If I Was a Drug Addict...Shopping is My Drug of Choice

I'm (somewhat, but kind of, not really) disappointed in myself. I bought some shoes. Even though I'm on a "spending freeze". But it wasn't my fault! I got an email from Solestruck.com informing me that the SOLD OUT Jefferey Campbell Boot Camp boots are now in stock in my size. I had to do it. I had no choice. Is this what Lindsay Lohan feels like? I think I need a court mandated stint in rehab. It seems like that would be the only way I'd finally be able to purchase the camera that I keep saying I'll buy. Eeeeh, maybe next month.

Meet Frankie C...It may just change your life.

I had an amazing, AMAZING opportunity to shoot with a true genius. Meet Frankie C. He reminds me Vince Vaughn in one of his BEST roles ever as Trent in Swingers. It must be the effortless way he uses terms endearments when he talks to people (Which by the way has prompted me to ATTEMPT this...it doesn't have the same effect. Perhaps "How you doin' SUGAH TITS?!" won't catch on).  He can make any "disgusting pig" (his words, not mine) look like a hot ass mutha luvah. Someone so hot, you "just wanna punch them in the face!". I can't tell you how amazingly blessed I feel at this moment in my life. As some of you may or may not know, this year has been a bit of a shitter. To say the very least. But what I can honestly say is, meeting some super-duper, crazy, funny people--and getting reacquainted with some old ones--can make all of this shitty year worth it. I would just like to say thank you to all of those that have TRULY been there for me during the hardest year of my life and helping me begin the steps to transform. I know, a little wishy-washy for the entry of a GOTDAMN photo shoot, I know. But it was more than that. Whoever knew that chlorine water from a clubhouse pool and a few great new friends would be enough to baptize me? Thank you for helping me take the first few steps to my life of new found happiness (I know, right? Let me just smack MYSELF real quick). Thanks Frankie, Mike and Brandon, Cat, Jen, Phil and Adam...and tons of other people I forgot to mention. Love you all! Most of all, I'd like to thank my Kuya. I think you once said to me that one day I'd "take the broken pieces of my life and reassemble them to be the most beautiful masterpiece" (I can't remember verbatim, but it is pretty fucking awesome), and I think you just may be right about that one.  In hindsight, this year seems to be the beginning of the BEST year ever.

I Couldn't Help Myself

I purchased the following dress...
Asos Crini Dress

For some reason, this dress was unavailable for shipment to the US. Something about the distributors in the UK and some contractual nonsense. So when I saw that this was up for bidding on eBay, I had to jump at the chance to own this thing. I had no choice, really. Am I aware of how crazy this dress is? Yes. That's most of the appeal. I have no clue where I'd wear this to. But at least I know I have my (ridiculous) options.

MAC Villians Prelaunch Launch Party

As some of you may know, MAC officially launches it's Villains line one September 30th. However, some MAC stores were fortunate enough to host an invite only, Pre-Launch Launch party. How I got invited? Let's just say...I'm a valued customer. I was told by a MAC artist that there were only TWO launch parties in Northern California. Please excuse the mess, and by MESS, I mean ME. They were serving some very VERY strong raspberry mojitos. This is not how I envisioned to present the best version of myself to you. However, it is what it is. I've been up since 5:20 a.m. and I did have to work, GOSH DARN IT! Let's just say that my lazy, not-so-polished twin sister attended the party, not me. Yeah dude, that ain't me. Yeah, that's my story, AND I'M STICKING TO IT!

I will probably regret this in the morning....

(Edited to note: Videos have already been pulled. Apparently, I didn't have to wait 'til morning to feel some shame.)

The Wish List is Never Ending

Saw these and want them. I can see myself wearing these with a cream lace mini dress (do we still have to abide by the 'No White After Labor Day' rule?).
Kelsi Dagger Eva Boot
How will I EVER get a camera?!

Dupe-y Dupe-y Dupe.

Duuude, found these thigh high boots from Forever 21 ($32.80--what's with the dumb ass prices?) that are close enough to the Topshop boots I wanted ($250). For $32.80 I'd still buy them if 'Asshole' was emblazoned down the whole leg (Well, not really, but you know what I'm saying).

'M' is for 'MuthaFucka'

Just had to share my new mug. I'm an avid tea drinker. Used to be an avid coffee drinker (we're talkin' 3-4 cups a DAY), but had to quit. The last thing I need is something to make me more anxious then I already am. Saw this at Anthropologie and knew it had to come home with me.

Monogrammed Mug from Anthropologie
It was down to 'M' for 'Melissa'. Or 'B' for 'BIAAAAAAATCH!'. Had to go with 'M'. Mother will be proud. She raised herself a lady.

Yeah, I want this

Panda Spirit Hoods

You don't have to tell me how childish this is. I know. But I still want it. So do you. Yeah, you do. Liar.

Strike My Soul.

Found some cute/weird shoes this morning. Woke up from the most horrible dream imaginable and figured the best way to shake it off, is to look at something b-e-a-utiful.

GeeWaWa Femmes available at Solestruck
They're remind me of a lovechild between Lady Gaga and some Cybergoth nightmare. And bubbles (no, not Michael Jackson's chimp, actual bubbles).

So Cute, You'll Wanna SQUISH His FACE OFF!

And, NO, I'm not referring to Michael Cera. Yeah, yeah. We all have our quirks, my interest in nerdy, geeky, awkward ones seem to be mine. Okay, okay, back to main point. I need these....NEED. I've never had a pair of shoes so cute you want to hug and wear them. Come to Mama....

Jeremy Scott for Adidas

Lanvin for H&M (Yeah, yeah, yeah...blogged for the BILLIONTH time)

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone CRAZY enough to camp out in line with me when this launches (besides my older brother, who'll most likely be working that weekend). In November. The Saturday after Black Friday. Yeah =/

Note to Self...STOP BROWSING ONLINE...

Topshop Thigh High Boots
*Sigh* I really want these. I'm already planning outfits in my mind.

I Should be Saving for a Camera....

Lately, I've been going INSAAAANE when it comes to budgeting and saving money for more important things (no, not retirement or anything). Specifically, I SHOULD be saving for a digital SLR camera, instead of using my janky iPhone. But I keep running into cool things....

Sam Edelman Abbey
No, I haven't purchased these (yet). Not that much of you know about my favored fashion/design aesthetic. It usually needs a few things to be my taste. Leather? Check. Spikes? Check. I will do my best and admire these from afar...I really do need to save for a camera....

(MAC) Villians Always Prevail...

Okay, I know I'm a million years late blogging about this, but I just had to. You may already know that later this month (September 30th to be exact), MAC will launch their Disney Villains Collection inspired by The Evil Queen from Snow White, Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians, Malificent from Sleepy Beauty, and lastly, Dr. Facilier from The Princess and The Frog (Why they picked this dude, I dunno. Maybe to cater to the gentleman who wear MAC. Personally, I think they should've chose Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Bitch was crazy AND I get the impression she'd cater just as well to MAC's gay fan base. All I'm sayin', bitch was fierce)! I have forever been a fan of Disney and have always been a fan of villains (side note: as a kid I ALWAYS cheered for The Misfits on Jem--does anyone remember that cartoon?!). Sneak peeks....

Can't waaaaaait! I'll take one of each, please.
